Privacy Policy

Effective date: 2026-10-25

This Privacy Policy explains how DramaTomo handles information when you browse and watch short dramas. The service provider is DramaTomo Studio. It covers the features available in this version.

1. Information stored on your device

DramaTomo stores your saved dramas, viewing history and playback position, search history, likes and follows, reservations, content preferences, language and player settings locally. A random local visitor identifier helps display your local profile; the app does not send this identifier to a login or analytics service.

If you choose to edit a local profile, your nickname and optional email address stay on this device. Creating a local profile does not create an online account. Any feedback/report drafts or local messages saved by an earlier version remain on this device and are not sent automatically. This version does not provide a feedback submission form.

Video buffers, downloaded files where available, catalog data, artwork and subtitles may be cached or stored in the app’s storage to support playback. Local diagnostic messages may contain playback position, buffering statistics and network error information; no separate remote crash-reporting or analytics service is integrated; advertising SDK diagnostics are described below.

2. Information used for online delivery

The app automatically checks for catalog updates and may preload video data when opened. When it requests catalogs, artwork, video or subtitles, the destination servers receive your IP address, requested URL or resource identifier, request time and standard connection headers such as the app’s User-Agent. These requests can reveal which content is requested, including preloaded content. They are needed to deliver content and diagnose or protect the service.

The current app does not upload your local profile, saved list, search history or local visitor identifier as a user profile. Contact and report screens display our email address and let you copy it or the current drama details; the app does not send feedback or reports automatically. Online playback sends network requests to hosting and delivery providers.

3. Service providers and sharing

The default catalog and video delivery use Alibaba Cloud Object Storage Service (OSS), Video on Demand (VOD) and content delivery infrastructure, including video.lianjing.link. These providers process network requests to deliver and secure the service. The default catalog is hosted in Singapore; delivery may use servers in other regions. Network information may therefore be processed outside your country.

Public policy and agreement pages are hosted on our Tencent Cloud server. When you visit these pages, the server receives standard website requests, including your IP address, request time, requested page and browser headers, for document delivery and service security.

If you import a custom HTTPS catalog in Settings → Content source, that catalog’s operator and its configured media providers receive the requests needed to load it. Only use sources you trust and are authorized to access; their privacy practices may differ.

Sharing a drama opens Android’s sharing interface. Information is sent to another app only when you choose that action; the selected app handles it under its own terms. A calendar reminder, where available, opens the calendar app for you to review and save.

Contact and report screens can copy our email address, the current drama title and episode to the Android clipboard. You can open your preferred mailbox, describe the issue and send a message yourself. The app does not automatically open an email app or submit content. If you email us, we receive your sender address, message and any attachments to respond and investigate. Email providers process mail under their own policies. DramaTomo cannot confirm whether a message was sent or delivered. Do not include passwords or payment details.

We do not sell personal data. DramaTomo integrates the Google Mobile Ads SDK (AdMob) for ads between completed episodes and the Google User Messaging Platform (UMP) for applicable consent and privacy choices. Development builds use Google test ads; production ads are enabled only when configured. Google may process IP addresses, device or advertising identifiers, ad interactions and diagnostic information for ad delivery, measurement, fraud prevention and, where permitted by your choices, personalization. We do not send your local profile, saved list or viewing history to AdMob as an advertising profile. See https://policies.google.com/privacy and https://policies.google.com/technologies/ads. This version does not integrate third-party sign-in, payments or a separate behavioral analytics SDK. Media3 is used for playback and libpag for local animation. Necessary information may also be disclosed to meet legal obligations or protect legal rights.

4. Permissions and security

Internet access and network status support catalog updates and streaming. Optional notification permission supports local reminders; refusing it does not prevent browsing or playback. A boot receiver can restore scheduled local reminders. You can change notification permission in Android Settings. The advertising SDK also declares Android advertising ID access; its availability depends on Android and your device settings.

The app does not request camera, microphone, contacts, precise location, calendar read/write or broad shared-storage permissions. Calendar and sharing actions use Android interfaces. App-managed files use private app storage. Android backup is disabled for the app, and configured remote catalog and video addresses use HTTPS. No storage or transmission method is completely secure.

5. Retention and deletion

Local profile, viewing and activity records remain until you delete them, clear the app’s storage in Android Settings, or uninstall the app. Temporary caches may be evicted by the app or Android. Settings → Clear Cache removes temporary files and keeps your saved list and history.

For complete removal of app-managed local data, open Android Settings → Apps → DramaTomo → Storage & cache → Clear storage (wording varies by device), or uninstall DramaTomo. This resets local profiles, feedback, history, preferences, app-managed downloads and caches. You can also delete a local profile and its records in DramaTomo → Settings → About (tap the version) → Local profile → Delete local account & data. Use Android’s Clear storage option to also remove all app-managed cached files.

Server-side delivery and security records, if retained by our hosting providers, are kept only for the period needed to operate and secure the service or meet applicable legal obligations, then deleted or anonymized. Removing local app data does not itself delete provider access logs or copies you explicitly saved in other apps. Contact us about network records; please do not send passwords or payment details.

Emailed inquiries, feedback, reports and attachments are retained while handling the issue and necessary follow-up. You may request deletion via au6mx3wsnb6b30@ff.lingeringp.com. Clearing app storage or uninstalling does not delete mailbox messages; copies managed by you or email providers must be handled in the relevant service.

6. Your choices and privacy requests

You can use the viewing features without an online account, leave the profile email empty, remove local data, decline notifications and choose whether to share content or save calendar events. Online playback and catalog updates require network requests; stopping the app or restricting its network access in Android stops further app requests.

Depending on applicable law, you may have rights to access, correct or delete personal data, restrict or object to processing, request portability, withdraw consent where processing relies on consent, or complain to a data protection authority. Contact au6mx3wsnb6b30@ff.lingeringp.com to make an inquiry. We may need limited information to locate relevant records and verify a request; we cannot identify or retrieve local-only records from our servers.

Where required, you can review or withdraw advertising consent through Settings → Ad privacy choices. This entry appears when UMP requires it. Android also provides advertising privacy controls in system settings, with availability and wording depending on your device. If required consent cannot be obtained, the app continues playback without requesting ads. Google and its partners retain and process advertising data under their applicable policies; clearing DramaTomo local data does not itself delete their records.

7. Children

Use must comply with the app’s Google Play age rating and the minimum age required by applicable law. Where required, a parent or guardian must authorize a minor’s use. We do not knowingly seek personal information from children below the applicable minimum age. A parent or guardian can contact us about concerns or request deletion of information under our control.

8. Changes and contact

We will update this policy when the service or its data practices change and show the effective date. Material changes requiring notice or consent will be presented as required before the new processing begins.
